Tu Hai Meri Kiran, the upcoming film, has made headlines for its recent dispute in court regarding its release, after which it will be released in theatres on 23rd October 2026. Vishal Rana and Sarvesh Goel, the producers of the film, have said that the issue has been sorted out internally and the movie will be released in cinemas according to the planned time. The announcement has come amid the Bombay High Court’s intervention in the financial tussle between co-producers of the film, which now faces an in-between state like the one it was in on the eve of its theatrical release.
Co-producer AND Movie Products LLP is in dispute with Echelon Productions. Reports said AND Movie Products had invested ₹8.85 crore in it, under a co-production deal struck in March 2024, but were yet to be paid back as per the agreement. The Bombay High Court has ordered Echelon Productions to pay ₹8.85 crore, with the co-producer getting 15 per cent annual interest, to protect his investment. The order also covered commercial agreements and film revenues and the exacting of producer credits. The legal issues raised led to fears that the movie might not be released on its original date.
The doubts were addressed by producer Vishal Rana who stated that the problems have been solved internally and that the team is going forward with the intended launch. Co-producer Sarvesh Goel also confirmed the release date of the film as October 23. The availability of the release is not reported as being on schedule, but rather as indicated by the producers, and it is important to note that the resolution spoken of does not necessarily mean that the release will be confirmed as all the requirements of the court’s order have been met. The development has, however, revived the film in the eyes of the audience who are waiting for the movie to be released in theaters.
Tu Hai Meri Kiran is a romantic thriller written and directed by Karan Rawal which delves into the darker elements of love, rejection and obsession. The movie examines the repercussions of obsessive affection and the impact it has on personal relationships as Kiran deals with his more and more problematic behavior. The title also evokes the popular song from the 1993 horror movie Darr, which also delved into the concept of obsessive love. The trailer released by the movie has given viewers a preview of the suspenseful plot.
In addition to Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, the rest of the cast comprises Ankit Gupta, Sherlin Seth, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya. The movie is a presentation by Echelon Productions and AND Productions and reunites the two married actors after their joint release Double XL (2022). Tu Hai Meri Kiran is a romantic thriller that is much in the news before its theatrical release. Its producers’ latest announcement indicates the team will proceed as scheduled on October 23, 2026, but the final status of the court-related requirements is an important point to confirm.
