Bhool Chuk Maaf Release Date
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf released in Indian cinemas on May 23, 2025. The film, earlier scheduled for release on May 9, got delayed because of geopolitical tensions and a legal dispute between Maddock Films and PVR Inox over a direct to OTT launch.
The theatrical release was reinstated following a court mediated settlement. Audiences will now be able to watch the movie in theaters and have digital access on Amazon Prime Video starting June 6, 2025.

Bhool Chuk Maaf Storylines and Plot
Bhool Chuk Maaf is a romantic comedy with a twist of fantasy set in the vibrant context of Varanasi. Ranjan is nothing but a hopeless romantic, who gets himself a government job, winning the consent of Titli’s family. As wedding preparations are about to start Ranjan mysteriously gets caught in a time loop where he is doomed to relive the same day every time, the Haldi ceremony. Only he knows about this bizarre phenomenon and Titli and their families have no clue its a repetition.
Ranjan’s growing desperation and frustration as he tries to escape the loop in order to get on with the wedding is what the film explores. His repeated attempts create a series of comic and chaotic scenarios in which the pressures of being expected to land a government job before marriage are emphasized.

The ₹50 crore budgeted Bhool Chuk Maaf starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi is the first production. Despite a delayed release and legal wrangling over the way it was distributed, the film did manage to make an impression at the box office.
Although, it was released theatrically on 23 May 2025 after solving legal problems and made approximately ₹6.75 crore on its opening day. It had managed to rake in a total of ₹16 crore over the first three days and that is a good thing. Considering earlier controversies the film had and the competition it faced, it’s quite impressive.
The success of the film demonstrates the significance of audience engagement and that there is even a possibility of recovery from the worst beginnings. Bhool Chuk Maaf is set to gain even more audience when it will be released digitally on Amazon Prime Video on June 6, 2025.
