Raid 2 Release Date
On May 1, 2025, the official release of Raid 2, prepares viewers with action thriller and drama of high stakes. The sequel was helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta and was a continuation of the story of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, which was another strong episode in this franchise.
After an impressive theatrical experience and the grossing of more than 200 crores worldwide, Raid 2 was released on Netflix on 26 June 2025. It was publicized in a blazing social media countdown which read aaj se ulti ginti shuru and since then has been a burning subject among OTT viewers.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 (2025) is the story that follows the saga of Amay Patnaik, played by Ajay Devgn. Riteish Deshmukh plays the antagonist role of Dada Manohar Bhai, and Vaani Kapoor has been cast in the role of Malini Patnaik who is the wife of Amay replacing Ileana D Cruz in the original. The others who are in supporting roles are Rajat Kapoor as Chief Commissioner Kaul, Saurabh Shukla as Rameshwar Singh (Tauji) and Supriya Pathak as Amma, the mother of Dada Bhai. Lallan Sudheer is the friend of Amay and is played by Amit Sial and Geeta Devi is played by Shruti Pandey.
The movie is made by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios. Ritesh Shah, Raj Kumar Gupta, Jaideep Yadav and Karan Vyas develop the screenplay. Raid 2 Storylines and Plot
Raid 2 (2025) is directed Raj Kumar Gupta and is a sequel to Raid (2018) which starred Ajay Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The film is set seven years after the original and traces the story of Amay who is relocated to the town of Bhoj in Rajasthan. There he smacks Dada Manohar Bhai (Riteish Deshmukh), an upright-looking politician who has a black money empire.
The investigation of Amay starts with the raid on the properties of Dada Bhai but he does not find any sign of misconduct. Nonetheless, he thinks there is corruption involved and proceeds with his investigation. He is suspended due to his relentlessness but that does not stop him. Amay with the help of his wife, Malini (Vaani Kapoor) and his team discovers an intricate web of illegal dealings such as land purchases, money laundering and others.
The story is told in the form of heated conflicts, tactical incursions, and legal warfare, demonstrating the struggle of the sole officer in the fight against a strong opponent. The movie ends with Dada Bhai surrendering, preluding to future battles in the series.

Raid 2 Budget and Box Office Collections
The film was a moderate budget film of 120 crores (₹48 120 crore) with most reliable sources stating the same figure to be used in production and promotions. The movie had a good opening and made an approximate amount of 19.7 crore on the first day itself and recouped around 59 percent of investment by the end of opening weekend.
In nine days it hit 100 crore net in India and 15 days after its release, it had earned 136 crore net in India. On day 19, the global gross exceeded 200 crore with 177.5 crore in India and 201.5 crore in the rest of the world.
It has collected 219243 crores worldwide, 170202 crores in India and 31 crores abroad in its lifetime collection. Having grossed almost twice its budget and with a 40-50 percent gain in worldwide haul Raid 2 became the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 proving itself a commercial success.
