Veera Dheera Sooran Part: 2 is a Tamil neo-noir action thriller movie that has been directed by S.U. Arun Kumar. The story is based on Madurai and is shot in a single night of the temple festival, which marks the conflict of the SP Arunagiri with the former mob boss Ravi known as “Periyavar”. Ravi, the antagonist of the film, hires his one-time assistant Kaali, who is now a changed man living with his wife Kalaivaani from his past misdeeds and wants to help him eliminate Arunagiri.
At first Kaali hesitates but Ravi convinces him and Kaali bows to his pressure and agrees to help him. However, the assassination attempt is foiled by some circumstances that one cannot predict beforehand. As the events unfold, Kaali finds herself in the middle of betrayal and violence. Kaali gets flashbacks that his close friend died at the hand of Ravi and that is why he is so eager to have revenge. He kills Ravi and his son-in-law and the events unfold with confrontations.
Thus the climax shows Kaali challenging Ravi and his men to a fight where a scuffle takes place. In this way, using landmines, Kaali protects his family from the threats, eliminates them. The movie ends with Kaali reiterating on the vow he had taken that he will do the utmost to protect the family.
